Do you want to know what’s happening inside the bee house? Do you want to change our future? Decide to join now a unique project connecting IT with nature, which was born in smart brains from Moravia.
Despite the fact, that eighty percent of all the food we get on our tables daily wouldn’t be there without bees, their mortality increases. In some parts of the world up to 20-30% of the bee population die; if this would be the mortality of another animal kind, national and world organizations would ring the alarm. The reasons for the decline of the bee population have been named: some of it due to increasingly destructive agriculture, various diseases, parasites, pathogens, monocultures, sudden climatic changes in recent years, extreme aggressive breeding and constant pressure on higher profit. Although we can name the reasons, we are missing relevant data to underline these assumptions, set trends, and help define the exact prevention and correction options. Linking the data analysis and the future of bees stands today at an important crossroads. Forsage can show us at this crossroad the right direction.
It’s been a while, since I finished on Philippines my last running project. I was sure that Runeller will continue running for charity, though I had to take a break and recover my injured heel. I had to slow down and think. Gain energy and gather my lost motivation. I restarted with running after four months only in September 2019. There has been a time, where I would not even bother to change my running clothes for five kilometers, suddenly, I was thankful for every meter. Our life consists of so many different perspectives and even more perceptions of our feelings. Suddenly, I felt appetite and joy for running.
I restarted with running, but I still hesitated to start another project, I knew I must wait until the moment something touches my heart. And it happened. In life I believe into smart people, unique technologies and the possibility to change the world. The most I believe into projects which combine all these attributes at once. Forsage does. A team of “IT-techies” and excited beekeepers from Moravia came up with a solution, that helps to monitor the life in a bee house. Special sensors collect data and after data is processed, it is being sent to a special web application. The beekeepers know exactly, what do his bees need and how they are doing. Forsage was successful enough to win already few prestigious competitions and an accelerator program called Impact Hub 100-Day Challenge (practical educational program for companies and start-ups). Now the time has come, to make the next very important step and try to save the world.
Forsage is currently raising funds via one of the official crowdfunding portals. The funds will be used for additional analysis of the data – in the last two years a lot of data has been collected, which must be now analyzed. As a result, independent and important information about the life of bees and their mortality in last years will be provided. They will answer a lot of crucial questions and help changing the future.
I feel good. I feel the time has come. Runeller is back! Now I start running for Forsage, but this time it will not be just running, I will be adding all the kilometers I collect during my triathlon season preparation. The project will be running from 1 February 2020 till closing the crowdfunding promotion on hithit.com, until 18 March 2020.
The best for the end! Not only that you will help changing the world, for your contribution you can also adopt a bee, get amazing Forsage socks or T-shirt (cotton). Forsage will organize your private party in a caravan at the edge of a beautiful forest. If you are contributing as a company, you can support the “corporate bee” project, if you are a beekeeper, you can try out the whole technology on your own.
