On Guam I finished as the best Slovak, best Czechoslovak, best European and best hobo hipster! Now seriously, yes, I was the only one under these categories. However, I am satisfied with my 34 rank (out of 835) and 28 in male only. It wasn’t easy though:
Time 1:38:20 is far behind my personal best – in these AsiaPAC conditions it’s gonna be always far behind, you are happy that you finished,
I didn’t sleep a minute, start was at 4 AM,
It was raining earlier in the night, which is always very nice back at home before the race, however here this is the pure hell – the air is so heavy and hard to breath after the rain. Temperature by feeling 31 Degrees C, you don’t want this. After my pre-race warm-up I was totally sweating.,
Didn’t expect the route to be with so many waves, especially during the end kilometres a real suffering,
In the beginning I always go hard but here, here it doesn’t work like at home. At some point you are done, energy gone. So it was.
But… The local US citizens know how to cheer, oh my dear. Respect! And the following swim in the ocean, with sunrise, oh, something like this you hardly experience somewhere else.
Last kilometers for me in the far far East but the current project is not finishing yet:

… so is my world journey not! However, now quickly to Prague for the Prague Marathon.
